Tasked with both defending and policing a massive tract of land with no natural barriers to separate it from enemies, Benecia's military forces were understandably centered around the use of highly mobile cavalry units that could quickly respond to disturbances anywhere in the far-reaching nation within a short period of time. Benecia's cavalry developed a legendary reputation after generations of major wars and minor border incursions. Unfortunately for Benecia, the nation's forces were spread far too thin when the Machanite invasion began, and Benecia was conquered in a few short years.
